The company was started by Paul E.Balise in 1919 that was born and brought up in a farm which was situated in Hatfield, Massachusetts. He started the business by buying a welder and using his backyard as a garage for repairing the automobiles and farm equipment. As the word spread and he started getting more work, he opened Hatfield garage for repairing the automobiles and took the associate Chevrolet dealership for Hatfield. After that, he never looked back and the Chevrolet dealership for Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts and also opened the Used car outlet in 1929. He shifted again to the Springfield, Massachusetts in the early 1930. Since then, Ballise Motor Sales went from strength to strength. In 1985, the company moved to its present address, which is at West Columbus Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts. Jerry Rome Nissan maintains its age old popularity till date.
